EDAM elevator drives have been designed as a modular system, which enables the elevator manufacturers to design and define individual parameters according to their specific, unique requirements.

The GLAT series has been designed with three-phase AC synchronous motors (permanent magnetic excitation). All the features demanded in an advanced, state-of-the-art elevator drive have been united in the GLAT series: compact overall design, extremely low noise level, low operating costs, high reliability and superior controllability.

The gearless elevator drive (GLAT) is designed for applications without machine room and as a means to bring elevators with machine room up-to-date.

Minimum space is required in the hoistway as a result of the compact overall design. The solid structural design is based on implementing the proven rack shaft system.

Traction sheaves up to Ø600mm can be used in the GLAT series. Different traction sheave diameters and a narrow profile allow for the versatile arrangement in hoistways (with and without machine room).

The space-saving installation variant between the car and the hoistway and the 1:1 suspension further complement the overall features of the GLAT series.
